What began as a small passion project has grown into a coast-to-coast community where members can connect, participate, and help shape the future of the platform together. While many websites focus solely on advertising, Candy Kisses was built to create something deeper—a space where independent workers can be seen, supported, and celebrated.
Today, Candy Kisses brings together members from across Canada through profiles, listings, blogs, groups, private requests, and community-driven initiatives designed to encourage participation rather than competition.
Meet the Founder
Hi, I'm Deja Dawn.
In 2024, I left behind traditional industry structures and began building Candy Kisses from a small island on Canada's West Coast.
My goal was simple: create a platform where independent providers could participate in a community that values transparency, autonomy, and meaningful connection.
Every feature, policy, and initiative on this site has been shaped by listening to the people who use it.

Why I Built Candy Kisses
Like many people in this industry, I experienced firsthand how disconnected and impersonal many platforms had become.
Providers were often treated as products instead of people, while decisions affecting communities were frequently made by individuals with little connection to the people actually using the services.
In 2024, I set out to build something different.
What started with a vision and a laptop on a small island on the West Coast of Canada, slowly evolved into Candy Kisses.
Every member who joined, every piece of feedback shared, and every conversation helped shape the platform into what it is today.
Candy Kisses wasn't built by a corporation. It was built by someone who genuinely believes that stronger communities are created when people participate, support one another, and have a voice in the spaces they use.

What Makes Candy Kisses Different
Candy Kisses is not an agency.
Our members remain independent and in control of their own businesses, services, schedules, boundaries, and decisions. We do not manage bookings, set rates, or take a percentage of anyone's earnings.
Instead, we focus on providing tools, visibility, community spaces, and opportunities that help members grow their own presence while connecting with others across Canada.
From member blogs and groups to verification programs, rewards, and recognition initiatives, our goal is to create an environment where participation is rewarded and members feel valued for the role they play in building the community.
