Independence Looks Different for Everyone

One of the things we've been intentional about while building Candy Kisses is avoiding the idea that there's only one "right" way to work in this industry.

You'll often hear conversations that try to separate providers into categories.

Independent.

Agency.

Spa.

Collective.

Home-based.

Touring.

Established.

New.

The truth?

Every provider's journey is different.

Some providers enjoy managing every aspect of their business themselves.

Others appreciate sharing administrative work with trusted people.

Some feel most comfortable working from home.

Others feel safer or more supported in a shared workspace.

Some enjoy travelling.

Others prefer serving only their local community.

None of these choices automatically make someone more or less professional.

Your Business. Your Decisions.

At Candy Kisses, we believe providers deserve the freedom to build the business that works for them.

Some providers choose to:

• Work completely on their own.

• Share space with other providers.

• Rent rooms in established locations.

• Join agencies, collectives, or spas that offer administrative support.

• Alternate between different working arrangements throughout their careers.

Those decisions belong to them.

Our role isn't to tell professionals how they should run their businesses.

Our role is to provide tools, visibility, education, and community that help them succeed—whatever that journey looks like.

Respecting Different Business Models

There can sometimes be unnecessary division within our industry.

People may assume one business model is somehow more legitimate than another.

We don't see it that way.

Many agencies work hard to support providers.

Many spas create welcoming, professional environments.

Many collectives create spaces where providers collaborate and support one another.

Many independent providers have built incredible businesses entirely on their own.

Many providers move between these different models as their careers evolve.

Success isn't determined by where someone works.

It's determined by professionalism, respect, communication, safety, and the quality of the experience they create.

Welcoming Everyone Who Believes Respectful Connections Matter

One of our core beliefs at Candy Kisses is simple:

Welcoming everyone who believes respectful connections matter.

That means respecting the many different ways providers choose to build their businesses.

It means welcoming independent providers, agencies, spas, collectives, clients, partners, and supporters who believe in professionalism, kindness, and treating one another with respect.

Our community grows stronger when we spend less time dividing ourselves and more time learning from one another.

Candy Kisses Is Built for Community

Candy Kisses isn't trying to replace existing business models.

We're building something that supports the entire community.

Independent providers.

Agency-affiliated providers.

Spa professionals.

Collectives.

Content creators.

Clients.

Partners.

Supporters.

Everyone has something valuable to contribute.

Healthy communities are built through collaboration—not competition.

Listen First. Learn Together. Build What Helps the Community Succeed.

This philosophy has guided Candy Kisses from the very beginning.

We believe the best ideas come from listening.

The strongest communities are built together.

And the most sustainable businesses are created when people have the freedom to choose the path that's right for them.

As Candy Kisses continues to grow across Canada, our commitment remains the same:

We'll continue listening.

We'll continue learning.

We'll continue building alongside our members.

Because we're not here to tell people how they should build their businesses.

We're here to support them while they build businesses they're proud of.

Whether they work from home, from a spa, with an agency, as part of a collective, or entirely on their own, we believe every provider deserves respect, opportunity, and the freedom to make the choices that are right for them.

Thank you for helping us build a community where respect comes first, collaboration is celebrated, and everyone who believes respectful connections matter has a place to belong.

Sweetly Signed,

Deja Dawn
